Day One Auckland

Well hello everybody from up North.  We had a smooth, and uneventful flight.  The leg to Aucklandwas marvelous and as we approached at around 9 o'clock in the morning, we flew over some beautiful country, rolling green pastures that were being wasted on whatever, when they could have been turned into lovely golf courses,  ah, oh well.

First look 

We arrived at the hotel to discover one of our bags was missing! (As you know, our trips are never without unplanned adventures.) So, with the help of the front desk, the tile chip that I had placed in the bag and some channeling of Tolkien who brought us the lovely cab driver, Fili, we eventually retrieved our luggage.

So with all our possessions in tact we were ready to explore Auckland.
