Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers

We drove the five minutes or so to try and catch a world famous reflection in Lake Matheson. I've been told that this a renowned reflective pool, but you have to be lucky not to have the clouds obscure the view. We almost caught it at the right time, and will try it again at dawn tomorrow. 

The clouds started rolling in around Fox Glacier, so we drove over the next mountain to have a look at what Franz Josef had to offer. We had better luck at this glacier, so we took the hike along the river to get a closer look.  When we finished our hike Tracy wanted to drive along the road that leads to Okarito and on our way back it started to rain at which time we saw a fantastic rainbow, one of the best, according to Tracy.
