After the show we went to lunch and then hiked along a stream. There are many Chinese and Japanese tourists.The Chinese visitors are interested in their historical influence on this gold mining area.
Even though it is the equivalent to September in New Zealand, this was the first time we encountered fall colors. This is because the native trees are mostly evergreen. (For instance, the native beech does not lose it's leaves).
