Milford Sound

We decided to take a bus to the boat out to Milford Sound, to give my driver a much needed break from the arduous task of hauling me around New Zealand. It turned out to be one of our better decisions.

The bus took us up and over and through the mountains to return to sea level and Milford Sound.  It was a another twisty and turny road, but we've come to expect that down here in New Zealand. The boat ride was really reminiscent of the beautiful Alaskan fiords that we experienced on board both the Tia and Kupernoff.

I dipped my bottle into a stream of water that had some pure mountain runoff, but unlike my Alaskan adventure, (if anyone was lucky enough to read my blog) I did not have any Jameson's to add a drop or two. Perhaps I'll save some and purchase enough Jameson's to add to it.

  1. Holy mackerel those roads look scary! Glad your driver had a chance to just ride! The waterfalls all look flowing even though they have not had much rain.
