Exploring Aoraki National Forest

A lot of people have been asking if I have golf lined up on this trip, the answer is no.  I didn't even think about bringing my clubs, but still reserve the right to rent some if the urge hits me. So now, where was I .... what was the question?...oh yes the blog..

We woke up to another socked in morning, with fog and clouds, and all kinds of mean and nasty things. So we strolled up to the visitor center to see about the star gazing for this evening because this area is a Unesco designated dark area. We found out that it was booked for tonight, but there were openings for tomorrow night. By the time we had finished our errands and done our laundry(after all, we are here for two months), the blue sky had returned, so we could start our exploring.

  1. WOW great views. I always rent clubs on vacation.Cost of renting always offset the hassle of lugging them around. Glad to see more pics of Sleeping Beauty. That bridge How high was it? Did it sway??? Your no where near where the cyclone hit are you?? I know too many questions. Keep pics and commentary comming
