Journey to Napier

For all you Loggins & Messina fans, "Sailing The Wind" was a song title as well as an album title. The lyrics I quoted were from a song "Mañana" by Jimmy Buffet, but Steve Szabaga probably knew that already.

Our next planned stop was Napier. It is a small town, on the coast, in the heart of wine country. We journeyed along a very winding road, that climbed up and down, up and down till it finally flattened out. Again, along the way we say some incredible countryside, but it was still hard to take pictures as the light did not produce enough contrast (I learned all that from Tracy, you couldn't expect me to know anything about good light or bad). But we managed to get some relatively decent photographs anyway.
